Fundraising Event

Non-Profit

Client Since 2006

Overview

In its pursuit of hosting the 2016 Olympics, Chicago and Mayor Richard M. Daley pull out all the stops at a gala fundraiser.

Challenge

Create and produce a celebratory evening at McCormick Place for Chicago's top movers and shakers. Provide impressions for media coverage and showcases the hospitality of this world-class city.

Solution

Feature Olympic hopefuls, ages 8 to 13, putting on displays of sport and athleticism atop elaborate staging and behind full-height scrims. Hang aerial athletes from complex rigging to mesmerize the crowd from above. Top it off with amazing local entertainment including singers from the Lyric Opera.

Results

Phenomenal attendance of nearly 2,000 raises $9.4 million—one of the most successful fundraising efforts in Chicago's storied history. A spirited evening delivers a powerful message of enthusiasm and can-do attitude.
