Follett Higher Education Group
Managers Conference
Sports/Media/Entertainment
Client Since 1996
Overview
Follett needs to inspire attendees to excel as market leaders in the text book industry year and year again. An annual summit supports changing attitudes, technology and processes to embrace this evolution – advancing more quickly each year.
Challenge
Unify 800 store managers and assistant managers in a captivating environment with a fresh approach. Revitalize company messaging and unify franchises.
Solution
Thread topical themes ("Xchange" in 2006, "Connections" in 2008) through speeches, graphic design and conceptual elements. Bring in high-caliber talent, i.e. one of Madonna's touring partners. Introduce new concepts, a fashion show and hi-tech breakout management tools that take event to the next level.
Results
Marking our 12th year of collaboration, the client said it best: "My involvement this year gave me a renewed appreciation for the effort that goes into a successful meeting. Your team was great! Our personalities and culture fit very nicely." Post-event surveys proved the event structure met attendees' growing needs.
